hmm. what is wrong to connect the [gemhead] to your external ?
the [gemhead]s are registering themselves to the GemMan-class (which 
handles all the rendering; note: the implementation-details are likely 
to be changed), so that they are called in the correct order when 
rendering is started/done/stopped.

there is no invisible send/receive pair if you mean this.

may i ask why you need this feature ?
