Initial Comment:
Seems the line width is drawn either horizontally or vertically instead of normal to the circle.

Not sure if this is to be expected from OpenGL, or if it's a Gem bug, or a driver bug.

Tested with pd-0.41.4 gem-0.91.1 fglrx ati catalyst 9.3.
