[GEM-dev] HD pix_video on Linux

Hey all,

Are there any options for getting HD (1080p) video input (in Gem) on Linux?

I'm starting a project where SD will not likely cut it, as I'll be doing
lots of cropping.

I realize it would work out of the box on MacOS, but I'm staying away
from that.

An HD IP camera may be the way to go, does Gem on Linux load network
video streams?

Aside: Since HD will be a lot more CPU usage, anyone working on VDPAU
support in Gem?
