I didn't have the time to try them with Gem myself but i will do that in a month or so and report. we did use the cameras outside of Gem though and they work. with gigE you can get cables up to 100m.

Thanx Max ! In fact, i'm looking for people who have tested this camera 
with Gem. But i keep in mind your proposition, it could be useful ;)
