Gents,<br><br>so looks like i am on a totally wrong way. If playlist is not supported, I need other solution instead of VLC.<br>Anyway for some reason my patch again does not allow to open any files.<br>When add 8z.mov and create Gem window pd prints:\<br>
GEM: Start rendering<br>GL: invalid enumerant<br><br>pix_info now shows 64x720 pix resolution which is a bit strange for the first sight.<br>Once Gem window is totally black, than after closing and opening rendering shows white plane.<br>

</div>actually i don't think it is really possible. (even libvlc has removed<br>
direct support for playlist-files; the application has to parse the<br>
playlist and then create a "media_list_t" structure according to it,<br>
which can be played; Gem does nothing of that kind)<br>

otoh, m3u is a rather simple file-format; you could even try to parse<br>
it from within Pd.<br>

</div>that's a tricky question: how do you loop a live-video stream?<br>
after all [pix_video] is really an interface to infinite pix streams,<br>
not to fixed-length media; hence you don't get information about film<br>
length and EOS, which you need if you want to loop.<br>
the object to play fixed-length media is [pix_film].<br>
unfortunately, there is no VLC backend for [pix_film] so far.<br>
luckily there is a GMERLIN-backend for pix_film, which can play a lot<br>
of files as well.<br>
