0.43.4 is the version of Pd, not Gem - the latest of Gem is
0.93.3.<br>
It is included in Pd-extended.<br>

Did you send the message |1 ( to the gemwin? This starts
rendering.<br>
Without this you won't see anything.<br>

Everything works fine for me at OSX 10.8.4<br>
