The changes you spelled out are already in place when I am trying to
build flext. It seems that the current method of building flext has a
overly complicated series of regexp replacements. What about instead
maintaining a separate text file that is used for the .app-style build
system. It would then just be copied into place by the Makefile. I
think this would be a more manageable solution.
