I really have no idea. I don't have clue what is going on. It seemed as 
though the text from the README applied to this case since it describes the 
problem and offers a solution although it provides no explanation.

It seemed to relate to the way it's built in pd-extended and just needs a 
change in the configure script.
Who should I assign it to?
