<p>i recently ran into a problem when i tried to use <span>[text<br/>
sequence]</span> without a given name but with a pointer. to be more precise, i tried the "-w" flag of<br/>
<span>[text sequence]</span> in combination with the "-s" flag and got error messages<br/>
in the console. </p>
<p>according to CHRISTOPH RESSI:</p>
<p>"looks like <span>[text sequence]</span> is broken. all the flags (-t, -w, -g) only work if you provide a text name as the first creation argument. this also means they don't work with data structure pointers."</p>
<p>i attached a patch that demonstrates the problem ...</p>
