Gem 0.81 under redhat, and questions

Hi droogs

So here I am running Gem 0.81 (Guenter's distribution) in redhat Linux. I
have one small difficulty to report: I installed all the extra libraries
(Mesa, gltt, ttf, GLU MesaGLU, etc) in /usr/local/lib and found that the
two Mesa libraries weren't found by Gem although the others were. I
ended up linking the Mesa stuff into /usr/lib and that fixed it. Count
on a hald day or so to find all the libraries and compile and install
them.

Now here's the interesting question. I really want my nice TV card to
work as a video input to Gem. Has anyone tried this yet? The video
input objects exist in Gem, they just aren't adapted to Linux yet.

After I do that I want to have multiple gemwinds so that I can draw stuff
offscreen and use the result as a pix_image. Also, I want to be able
to put 2 gfx cards in my machine and dedicate one of them as the output
gemwind so that I can have both my login window and a signal to project at
the same time. Anyone have similar ideas?

cheers
Miller
