yes, i first tried a version with the maphash-object inside the abstraction, but it turned out to be more practic to leave it outside. reasons:
1.) it allows the use of the "set"-options of mapread/mapwrite
2.) you can't have several instances of "mapx" if the maphash-table is inside ("multiple definition error" - like arrays...)
3.) i thought it is good to have the maphash-objects all together at a specified place for better orientation. plus, you don't always need all the features of "mapx" and 
therefore can also use mapread/mapwrite as well. 

it all seemed more "modular" to do it this way...
