This is exactly the reason, why I never used gripd until now, because one
would have to compile a bunch of libraries on his own to fulfill the
dependency, for example libwxgtk2.3 itself, and wxGTK is more widely used
in other packages, so I fear to break things...

Maybe there could be a (crippled?) gripd-version that would work with 
libwxgtk2.2-python?
