[PD] Gem multimodel and pix_film glitches

As I am no developer and don't have VC++ installed, I won't be able to
check or change it.

Would it be possible to remove the output and perhaps even the underlying
test or is it a vital function? Could speed up loading or at least
unclutter the console.
