This will compile on the Mac with one change:
Change 'configure' such that the Darwin LDFLAGS are:
    LDFLAGS="-Wl -framework Tcl -framework Tk -framework CoreAudio \
        -framework AudioUnit -framework AudioToolbox \
        -framework Carbon -framework CoreMIDI"

I don't want to delay you from getting on with the release, but there's a
minor visual inconsistency brought on by undo and thick-lined signal
connections: 
- Create a signal connection.
- Delete it.
- Undo.
- Only a thin line reappears.

The same happens with the converse (a redo of a connection).

I've poked around with canvas_undo_connect and canvas_connect a little,
and the solution isn't obvious (to me, at least).

PS. I'm keen to throw a lot of visual/surface-GUI changes into CVS,
anyway, if you want to leave this.
