[PD] FFTs

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a cheaper (in CPU terms) way of doing phase-vocoding than the one detailed in the pd documentation (phase-locked vocoder patch)? Do FFTs get cheaper with smaller block~ and window sizes?

Has anyone written externals which implement basic pvoc operations for less MHz?

I can run two FFT re-synthesizers in my signal-driven patch before it's too much (with bonk~ and fiddle~ running also).
