[PD] compiling CVS externals in os x

Hi, David.

Those seem like warnings, which shouldn't cut off the compilation, unless
you have -Werror as a flag. If you do, get rid of it... we can't all get
perfect compiles like the linux guys. :)

I think you can turn these warnings off with -Wno-shadow. Whether doing
such a thing is actually harmful, I don't know, but I've blithely ignored
those errors for months, now. :)
