probably the simplest, and most general way is to use a qlist. anything
more than that really depends on what kinds of sequencing you want to do.

or you can get pd to talk to a midi sequencer.

there is a csound~ object, i haven't used it .. someone who knows more
will undoubtedly reply to this bit ;)..
