[PD] free software VST host for windows?

I never built or ran psycle - just nicked the code 
I needed. The VST stuff won't need the DirectX bits 
I don't think.

First problem. psycle apparently needs the DirectX 9 SDK.... uarrgggh
But i'll try to look into it nevertheless.
