[PD] help please with VC++!!

in windows 2K, i made a static library; convaudio2static~.lib

i can't get it to load up!

here's how i call pd from the run command:

I:\pdforwindows\bin\pd.exe -path /pdforwindows/gem-0.87/ -lib gem

i tried about 20 things to get the new library working but no avail, so i
won't list them here. do i NEED a dynamic library? i had trouble making a
.dll file, and i just have one error:
