[PD] MSVCR70D.dll required to use ASIO drivers on Windows?

howdy,
i am attempting to run pd (versions 35 and 37) using ASIO drivers with a Soundblaster Audigy 2zs card under Windows XP. When i launch pd from the command line (e.g. pd -asio), a system dialog appears telling me that the library MSVCR70D.dll is required and can't be found.

i know this library is the debug version of the Visual Studio C Runtime library and i suspect that the portable audio code was linked to the debug version of this library rather than the commercial version.

what can i do here to get pd to run using the ASIO drivers? i understand that MSVCR70D.dll is not sanctioned for redistribution and is for developer use only.

Also, do i need to use the ASIO drivers in order to get pd to recognize the Soundblaster Audigy 2zs as having greater than 2 channels for audio output?

thanks,
-rem
