[PD] csound~ for not-linux?

Has anyone had a hack at porting the csound~ pd object to a platform other than 
Linux? I tried my meagre hand at it by tweaking the makefile, but no luck. 
Ideally, I'd like a Mac OS X binary. Would this be hard to do?
