was that me ?
i remember talking to aymeric about exactly this theme with almost 
exactly these words.
and i thought it was clear between the 2 of us, that the pd~convention 
just has no money left to pay him for coming, and that i was sorry for 
this but cannot do anything about it.

so "why can't you simply say : 'no, sorry, we don't have money left'
that would be clearer. " is what i thought i did.
