[PD] serial object and a basic stamp

does anyone know where I can find info on the serial object in PD?  I looked 
at the helpfiles and there is no information on how to use the object.  I am 
trying to pass serial data from a basic stamp into PD through the serial 
port, so if anyone has information about doing this that would be very 
helpful,
