[PD] Segmented patch chords?

-Wasn't Miller talking sometime ago about this doing,
 but that IRCAM(!) objected to it (?), because it made
 PD more look like their jMax...
 Considering that jMax has been recently regarded as being
 deceased, it might justify another attempt.
