Hello,
We're working on a revamp of the whole way help files are handled in PD.
Some of the proposal is at:
http://puredata.org/Members/bbogart/PDDocumentationStructure/
The highlights are:
An automagically filled menu that fills up based on meta-data embeded in
the PD help patch. Through this meta-data the user could also search
through the patches for all loaded externals AND abstractions for keywords.
