[PD] serial port and Pd

From what I can see, the Pd-extended installer you sent is BETA and the
stable release does not include comport. I am looking at installing
these in a computer lab for classroom use. Would you recommend I use the
BETA release or that I use the stable release and try to copy
comport.dll into that? I am more concerned about stability than
cutting-edge features. My experience in working with students of mixed
technical abilities that without good stability they quickly get
frustrated and give up. I'm game to use the BETA releases but I am
concerned by your disclaimers on the page.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

-John
