[PD] problems with scale

Hi folks

i am trying to run videoflow-1.1 and i am running into a problem with scale. Now videoflow-1.1 says it uses maxlib which has a scale in it but the documentation says it uses scale from GEM. When loading Gem says 
GEM: error arguments must be 0, 1, 3, 4 

and if ignored it says 
scale: no method for float.

anyone else try this patch? looks pretty sexy 
i am on osX 10.3.9/TIGER and everything seems fine except for scale.
