Hi, I had this same error, so I changed the file pdp.pd_darwin (RC7)
to pdp.pd_darwin (RC5) and the error gone.
I didn't know why!!!!? but works..

but some things like pdp2gem, some examples, etc... don't work and
pdp/pidip objects crashes pd!!! ( like quicktime object - pdp_qt)

and some objects you have to change to work on OS X.... like:

image inputs/outputs:

pdp_xv displays images using the xvideo
extension
pdp_glx displays images using opengl - OSX

pdp_ieee1394 reads images from a video
4 OSX device
                   pdp_v4l reads images from a video 4
linux device

If you have some success, drop some words!!!

Thanks
