[PD] Status of OSCx (for OS X)

trying to compile OSCx as per the README instructions

./configure - works ok
make - stops with the following

/usr/bin/ld: can't open: ../../../pd/bin/pd (No such file or  
directory, errno = 2)
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [sendOSC.pd_darwin] Error 1

what's the next step?

.... the question really is what's the best way to add OSCx to pd? ....
