R: [PD] CPS vs PD - experiences?

I wrote a Debian startup script for Pd, its in CVS:

scripts/debian/init.d/pd

This script makes it easy to run Pd as a daemon.  Hopefully, it'll  
get included in the debian packages.  I just added a mount option to  
run the disk synchronously (meaning that there is no write caching).   
This will slow down disk operation, but makes it much more resistant  
to hard restarts.  You do that by adding the "sync" to the options  
line in /etc/fstab.
