I don't know all the details, but even with just a simple subpatch [pd 
blah] without a namecanvas (and thus using the default receiver), if you 
send vis 1, vis 0, vis 1, vis 0, to [s pd-blah], only 50% of the vis 1 
will work, and the other will print TK errors.
