I can't build this right now as I don't have a pd.lib to link against. If I 
download vanilla pd-0.39.2 and link against the pd.lib included there, are 
things likely to fall over?

Hans, could the pd-extended-windowsxp releases please include a pd.lib?

Also, it would seem that 0.39.2-extended-test7 includes an old version of 
[comport] (under the flatspace subdir).
