OR when the patch that will receive the message is not the same one (or a
subpatch of the one) in which you generate the message; that is, if \"$0\"
evaluates to different values in the two contexts.
This is possible, isn\'t it? This wouldn\'t necessarily involve saving....
However, I think an escaping mecanism (at least for $\'s in messages) would
indeed be vital.
WHENEVER a special character exists, an escape character should exist, just
in case.
