the syntax should be
define_loudspeakers 3 azi1 ele1 azi2 ele2 azi3 ele3 ...

(so you don't need the 8 at the beginning)

For you it should be something like this:

define_loudspeakers 3 -45 0 45 0 -135 0 135 0 -45 45 45 45 -135 45 135 45
