i was referring to ubuntu dapper (i am still on dapper, yes), but now  -
after dapper and edgy - feisty is released. feisty also has 0.40.2.

i am not sure, if it is possible to install on dapper the package from
debian testing/unstable. chances are high that you run into dependency
problems because of libjack.
