[PD] [pool] binary for Mac Intel?

Hi Luke, hi Damian,
i actually thought that i had fixed that issue at an earlier time,  
but obviously not.
I committed some stuff to the PD CVS that should prevent buffer  
overruns in these cases. I hope that it doesn't have bad side effects.
