This patch notoriously crashes systems, I think it's a path/permissions issue

the model object in Gem does work. i have tried it on different computers, different architectures and different operating systems.
there is no other way to load a .obj file in Gem (well there is [multiobject], but this is really just an extended version of [model])
please provide more specific information:
- your operating system
- your version of Pd
- your version of Gem
- an exact description of the problem
- any printout to the Pd-console and/or the stderr when you try to load a .obj
- does the example patch work?
- if so, could you provide a a patch/.obj-file that doesn't work
