Sound Design Festival
October 1st - 9th 2011

As part of the city-wide Cardiff Design Festival, the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama will host a week long celebration of sound design installations and interactive exhibits. The event will promote the exciting creative work of sound designers and sound-based artists across a wide variety of media in the beautiful setting of the new Linbury Gallery at the national conservatoire of Wales.

1st - 9th October 2011
Opening night: 1st October 2011, 7pm

Call for Works

Works are invited from sound designers and audiovisual artists for gallery display on listening and viewing posts in the Linbury Gallery. Submissions are welcome as audiovisual pieces, fixed media works, soundtracks, games audio, digital sound and film, where sound is designed. Those interested should emailsimon.kilshaw at rwcmd.ac.uk<mailto:simon.kilshaw at rwcmd.ac.uk>:

  *   Description of the proposed performance (100 words max)
  *   Short biography (100 words max)
  *   Download link to the work (audio and/or video)

Deadline for submission: 30th August 2011
Acceptance Notification: 6th September 2011
