if you only want to delete an object, i suggest to check iemgut's
[canvasdelete].
it will provide a method to the canvas to delete a specific object
(rather than everything at a specific position on the canvas):

[delete 1(

[s pd-foo]

will delete the 2nd object in the "foo" subpatch.
