[PD] pix_record bug

Hi there, I'm starting to use the pix_record object. I did everything as explained in the help patch but all I get is a console message saying: recordQT: EndMediaEdits failed with error -2008. The file is not created. Has anyone experienced that before? I'm running Pd extended 0.43.4 on a macbook pro. Thank you very much for your help.
