[PD] symbol to float

[Alexandros Drymonitis]

I've made an abstraction that converts a symbol to a float after a
discussion on this list with Cyrille Henry and Chris McCormick. You can
find it here https://github.com/alexdrymonitis/miscellaneous_abstractions,
it's called "vanillaS2f"
