Hi Ingo,

Indeed a scrollbar on a dropdown-menu wouldn't be very good GUI design 
practice.

The pmenu should be easier to adapt. I guess the original intention to 
have it start a new column every 30th item, but that doesn't work. I 
could try to fix this and make the max-column-length an option. Maybe 
even keep the current behaviour if no max-column-length is specified to 
keep backward compatible. It might be someone depends on it.

BTW, the COLUMNBREAK = 30 is in pmenu_w.h.
