it seems that your aalib is not configured with slang support :<br>
`aalib-config --libs ` should give you the following libraries :<br>
<br>
-L/usr/local/lib -Wl,-rpath,/usr/local/lib -laa -lm -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lX11
-lgpm <b>-lslang</b><br>
<br>
so first install slang and then reinstall aalib.<br>
