on all channels the sound stops completely for a second or two unpredictably about every 10-15 seconds, and there are audio pops at other times
there is constant distortion on adc~ for channels 3 and 4, but generated sound is not distorted
I have always had the distortion unpredictably on either pair of channels- sometimes it can be fixed by unplugging the quattro and restarting pd...

Maybe I'll try updating alsa.
