So testing on the old 533 went well so i moved the ubuntu installation over to the G4 laptop. And have successfully compiled and am running<br><br>pdp0.12.4-test-4<br>pidip.0.12.10<br>pdp_freeframe with most of the plugins working

i have the same problem. using debian unstable and the debian packages from <a href="http://sindominio.net/~caedes/debian/">http://sindominio.net/~caedes/debian/</a><br>but it might be even worse here... sometimes not even a resize will help, I have to close pd and start over. really strange.

<br><br>ok, well i guess around 6;30, ye olde linux fever hit me and i installed ubuntu fresh on an 80GB older 533 G4<br>i did not install OSX. Everything seems to be working well except that the headphone sound does not work and currently all sound is emitted through the internal PC speaker. everything thing else is pretty straightforward
<br>hopefully some Alsa configging will sort that out.<br><br>there is a nice marked speed difference from the 533 running OSX 10.3.9 to ubuntu 5.10 breezy<br>it really does give the machine that old zip again<br><br>pd 0.38-4
