FYI on all my machines I've seen freezes when rending with NVIDIA<br>
proprietary drivers.<br>

To make em stable I've had to add the following kernel options:<br>

acpi=off noapm<br>
<br>
then its stable.<br>

Mind you, I've never seen this happen immediately, only after running X<br>
for some time....<br>

I've not jumped to hardy yet, will be a couple months when my thesis is<br>
