I feel stupid for complaining about it really, but the question was asked and I felt like sharing my current situation. There is a definite difference between the artists and the engineers that work at these places. For most, it's just a job. I can't really see things like that and it's hard not to invest energy I probably don't need to.</div><div><br></div><div>I too agree that you'll make better art by the skin of your teeth then in the comfy confines of academia / commercial work.
