You may succed with a line-level DC current running through the switch, into a *cheap* soundcard.<br>We just tried this with an odometer (reed-relay) and it was working ok, the sound card didn't fry, still i'd never try it with an expensive one.<br>

I'd rather try with an arduino or to connect the pedal to an usb mouse click or a keyboard key,<br>
this pedal shouldn't generate a signal. I's just a switch where when the pedal is not pressed the tip and ring are shorted.<br>
