Hei,<br><br>well, thats interesting. would you know how I can convert a font to a character map? or a linux program with which I can make character maps? There was a lot of 1 and 0's in the charmap files ;)<br><br>On the topic of ascii art, I remember this one <a href="http://www.turbulence.org/spotlight/ASCII_BUSH/">http://www.turbulence.org/spotlight/ASCII_BUSH/</a> very well, possibly not as haunting as when he had actual power, but still nice how the dollar signs seems to be exclusively mapped to his skin.<br>

pdp_ascii doesn't use font files,<br>
but character maps, that are basically<br>
bitmasks that can have any shapes<br>
( pacmans, stars, space ships, ... )..<br>

some character maps are available in<br>
the folder charmaps in pidip,<br>
but you can create your own,<br>
one for halloween if you want,<br>
they are only text files,<br>
you can open them with any text editor.<br>

is there a way to use a different font in pdp_ascii? The helpfile tells that it is possible to "load a characters map" with the same format as a file called "characters.dat", but google allmighty only returns pages about pdp saying the same thing... Does it have anything to do with fonts?<br>
