Gem currently builds on OSX>=10.6 (ia64),
but will not run since it<br>
still depends on QuickTime.<br>
iirc, the release announcement for 0.93.0 was
asking for an OSX<br>
developer to resolved exactly these issues.<br>

in the meantime, you should be able to get a
running Gem-0.93.1 on<br>
OSX-10.6/10.7 by forcing it's architecture to
32bit<br>
("--enable-fat-binary=i386")<br>
